Imagine a place where you could live in a community of people who desire a slower pace of life, be close to nature and live rooted in everyday human connection. That is the vision Ecovilla brings to life.

It began with La Ecovilla Original in 2012. In the heart of Costa Rica, a former cattle farm of 42 acres was transformed into a regenerated, edible forest and sustainable residential community. We believe that true community flourishes when we honor both our shared values and the natural world around us.

In 2023, we expanded that vision with Ecovilla San Mateo. We regenerated 220 hectares of a former petting zoo into healthy, regenerating land, crossed by the Machuca River and designed for sustainable individual homes, meaningful connection, and a healthy lifestyle.

Ecovilla is not an escape from reality. We consciously create a new version of it. Where sustainability, community and quality of life go hand in hand. A place where our children grow up outdoors, where we share and grow together, and living well feels natural.
