This is the first and original Ecovilla in Costa Rica, where Marcelo Valansi’s vision of a regenerative and life changing project became a reality since 2012.

La Ecovilla Original is home to 48 families from different nationalities all over the world, who live in harmony with nature and each other. What was once 42 acres of deforested land has been transformed into flourishing food forests, sustainable homes and shared community spaces, bordered by the magical Machuca river.

Today, La Ecovilla is an outstanding success story and internationally recognized as one of the most well-known eco-villages in the world, even featured on Netflix with Zac Efron.
